24 Apr ECA’s Executive Director spoke at the 2018 Intellectual Property Seminar in Paris
21 March, Paris – The Executive Director of the European Cloud Alliance, Kim Gagné, participated in the Fourth edition of the Intellectual Property Seminar, organised by Premier Cercle in Paris. This 2018 edition focused on delivering the right set of advice and tools to IP professionals faced with important challenges such as Brexit, budgetary cuts and digital transformation (big data patenting, cloud outsourcing, IP issues). Other speakers were, among others, Yann Dietrich, Senior Patent licensing executive & IP counsel at France brevet, Audrey Plantureux, Intellectual Property Manager at OVH, Pierre Breesé, President of IP TRUST or Jean-Marc Brunel, Intellectual property Director of the Safran Group.
Kim Gagné spoke in front of around 150 IP and legal experts coming from across the industrial value chain. As businesses’ dependence on software increases, today’s digital transformation challenges also include preventing IP risks. As such, Mr Gagné elaborated on how cloud technology can be one of the solutions to protect companies’ IP assets.
